Observe the Kaleidoscopic Flower and Plants Festival in Mexico

Every year, Mexico becomes the most kaleidoscopic country from March 17 to 25 because it celebrates the celebrated Flowers and Plants Festival. Mexicans celebrate this festivity for more than a week to welcome the kaleidoscopic arrival of the new season---spring. From fresh sunflowers, roses, and daisies to charming alluring orchids and begonias, Mexico truly becomes like a canvas that is full of varying colors. During the occasion, Mexicans and foreign vistors go to the Paseo de la Reforma, located near the Angel of Independence statue, because the festival partakers showcase their flowers and other plants there. Aside from the varying flowers in the Paseo, ordinary residents sell honey and organic coffee that all come from around the Mexican region including the Milpa Alta, Xochimilco, and the Federal District.

Though Mexico is not as celebrated as the other countries in Europe, this country is still considered by people as among the leading destinations around the globe because of its rich culture. In fact, Mexico's varying festivities such as this particular festival are just proofs of the country's cultural abundance. But above all else, the reason behind Mexico's prominence is simple: the country's willingness to party despite the challenges that it faces.

My Latest Summer Island Escapade

My fellows know how much I enjoy the seawater. Whenever I set off to a beach, there are only two things I enjoy doing: swimming and diving. I do not particularly know what beaches have that seduce me; presumably, it is because of the endless azure spectacle and the feeling of the waters engulfing my whole being.

So, when I had the chance to visit Cozumel Island, the biggest all over Mexico, I was more than honored because the the island's tropical beauty was perfect for my summer escapade. But since it is among the primmest diving locations in the world, I hurriedly grabbed my diving gadgets as soon as I arrived and set off with a group of some divers. When we descended to the waters, I was startled with the loveliness of the colorful reefs plus the hundreds of fish species and other sea creatures that swam with us. Unquestionably, the underwater world of Cozumel Island is such a superb haven.

Though I enjoy the beach water, I transitorily left it to enjoy a moment on land. I took time to set off to the northern region of Cozumel Island to observe the old pyramids and Mayan temples that had traces of the history of Cozumel Island. I was also specifically delighted with my visit to the botanical garden that sheltered various flora species.

Surely, Cozumel Island is not only for water lovers like myself because aside from the enchanting beaches, the island offers delightful attractions on land.

Flavorful Mexican Dishes Appropriate For A Spicy Michelada

Traveling to Mexico is a great opportunity to sample their wonderful local delicacies that are noted around the world because of their spicy flavors. Just recently, I and my companion went to Mexico to see the wonderful Aztec ruins, and of course, to sample some of Mexico's savory dishes. To start with, we ordered bowls of Lime soup, a steamy and juicy concoction made of lime juice cooked with pieces of chicken and tortilla chips. Aside from being a flavorful dish, this soup is also good for you if you feel feverish or have colds, as the spicy aroma of this dish will soothe your stuffy nose. The main course was the "Pollo Pibil," a delicious meal that originated from the amazing Yucatecan Peninsula in Mexico. This flavorful dish is a whole chicken saturated in a zesty sauce made from sour orange juice, cumin, garlic, salt, and peppercorns. The chicken is then bundled up in fresh banana leaves to trap all the savory flavors inside while it is being baked. Since this Mexican recipe is not that spicy, the perfect drink for this is a glass of "Michelada," a specialty beer enriched with pepper, salt, Worcestershire sauce, drops of Maggi seasoning, and several shots of Tabasco pepper sauce.
