The Fantastic Life of a Celebrated Mexican Artist

Mexicans are among the most artistically inclined people and we have seen the realization of this statement with the rise to acclaim of many Mexican artists. Frida, for instance, has definitely shown to the world how it is dealing with domestic situations while leading an artistic, or rather a dramatic, lifestyle. Because of the ideal she has set, I wonder if anyone could top that or at least, come close to owning or living the Mexican dream that Frida had.

Though a lot of people don't believe that dreams come true, some Mexicans spontaneously believe otherwise because of a celebrated artist, Julio Galan. A Neo-expressionist, this outstanding Mexican painter expresses his visions with his dream-like artworks that ordinarily feature a mystic man who closely resembles him. This painting style separates Galan from other Mexican artists, celebrated or unexceptional.

Aside from this incomparable style, Galan is also celebrated because of his beautiful life. At the tender age of 20, Galan presented his advanced talent and flamboyant personality in Monterrey; later, he became the leading young artist of Mexico. He was the propeller of the 2nd generation Neo-expressionists because many heed his footsteps and simulated his style. In 1984, he visited New York and presented his incomparable style, which was also classified as a polymorphous style and exhibited a fragmented and collage-type painting form.

Galan remains celebrated even after his death on August 4, 2006 when he was on his way back to his cherished place, Monterrey. Despite his death, this distinguished artist remains in the hearts of Mexican people because of his sterling artworks that truly depict the Mexican culture and lifestyle; the "Mientras Me Despierto" or "As I Wake Up," dated 1985, is among his celebrated masterpieces.

The Mexican Surfing Spree of My Boy

I do not know about my teenage boy, but when I was his age, I unquestionably could not nag my pa to bring me along to his next business trip abroad. I gave in to his endless caprice, anyway, since what he really wanted was to get to a eminent surfing break that he could encounter. After learning that I was to set off to Mexico, he jumped and headed to his computer and did a rigid research on the best surfing area across the country. A few minutes after, he elatedly came up to me and bid to bring him to Puerto Zicatela.

Right after my last seminar, my Mexican colleague drove me and my son to Puerto Zicatela. On our way, this fellow was endlessly talking about his own surfing adventure on this beach as if to even more thrill my teenager. My Mexican colleague kept on saying that this was only a fraction of the best surfing locations in Mexico and the whole world (if not the sole best), inviting surfers of multifarious nationalities. The two hurriedly exchanged stories and I was wordless the whole time.

But as soon as I landed my feet on Puerto Zicatela's unsullied sand, I was really startled. It was a prolonged beach along the city of Puerto Escandido with growling waves as high as 5 meters. Certainly, Puerto Zicatela is perfect for a boy like my son to increase his surfing competence. My boy, meanwhile, got his board from the and started running towards the shore to first survey the waters and get a first-hand experience.

Imperative Scores About Tequila

There's no other alcoholic drink that can be associated with the Mexicans than the toothsome tequila. A merrymaking or even a small gathering will not be superb if there is no tequila served on the table. This alcoholic drink is produced from the dry highlands of some suburbs in Mexico. Today, there are more than 500 tequila brands in the market and you may wonder what makes this drink very prominent and a very imperative liquor for Mexicans.

Ancient Mexicans started manufacturing this remarkable alcoholic beverage more than 9,000 years ago. Tequila is a fabled alcoholic drink that has been mentioned in various Mexican myths and sagas. This is presumably the reason the Latins give much meaning to tequila. Most plants that manufacture tequila are found in Jalisco state near the Tequila suburb. Tequila production in Mexico is strictly supervised and the alcoholic drink is only made using one of the 136 agave plant species that is found in the country. There are tales that Mexican tequila in bottles contain worms, but this is not precise. Mezcal, a kind of Mexican tequila contains a butterfly caterpillar, but it was only added to the alcoholic drink for flavoring schemes. This method is proven to be safe and is recognized in the country.

Superb Silver Jewelries Along The Vibrant Streets of Mexico

Shopping is one of my favorite activities, along with reading fashion magazines and getting the scoop on the hippest trends. Since a companion of mine knew this, she invited me for a remarkable jewelry shopping spree in Mexico. As it turns out, Mexico is noted for its world-class silver jewelries, and is one of the world's major producer of silver. The different selection of silver jewelries in Mexico was so awesome, and you can really barter with the small stall owners to get a better deal for your cash. My companion and I also visited high-end stores selling silver jewelries designed by noted Daniel Espinosa. This ingenious jewelry designer has been in the world of silver ever since, and his family has been in the jewelry-making business for many generations now. One might say that silver is in his blood, as it is also evident in his fabulous and novel creations. According to my companion, Espinosa's influences include his rich Mexican background, and the astonishing works of another famous American jewelry artist, William Spratling.

We spent an entire afternoon oogling at the magnificent creations of Espinosa, and before we left the store, I bought a gorgeous silver bracelet with intricate details.

Experience a Luxurious Dive in Puzzling Barcelo Maya Beach Resort

For trippers in search of a water-based holiday vacation, the ideal state is Mexico, specifically in Puerto Aventuras, where the Barcelo Maya Beach Resort quietly but alluringly stands. Sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters await every interested guest, with a wide range of water-based activities available in the area that are surely worth engaging in, and this naturally include swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving.

A fitting alternative, though, to open swimming is the free-type pool of the resort hotel, which Barcelo Maya Beach lovingly describes as a borderless lagoon that is surrounded by a row of thick palm trees complemented by an extended footbridge that ideally leads to a spacious jacuzzi.

There are other attractions within the resort hotel that will definitely catch the fancy of most tourists to this mysterious island of Mexico. These include lots of specialty restaurants that present various types of dishes ranging from local to international cuisines. One of these, the Don Quixote Restaurant, specializes in seafood and meat, manufacturing dishes that are clearly Mexican.

There is also an amphitheater settled near the resort where different shows are held nightly and constructed to bring out the wild side in you. On the other hand, if you desire the more subtle approach, disco and karaoke events can also be petitioned.
